Workbooks

Overview

Profitbase Planner provides a Web interface organized in Workbooks that are grouped as listed below. This is the same grouping that will appear in the menu in every workbook. See the example in the picture below.

Users with access restrictions will not have access to the full set of workbooks and hence the menu in your workbooks may only show a subset.

The full set of workbook groups and workbooks are:

Financial Planning

Here you find workbooks related to Forecast and Budget input and settings for finance simulation.

• CapEx
  Input for planned investments.
• Loan
  Input for planned loans.
• Finance Reports
  Finance reports to review simulated plan based on input and settings.
• Finance Simulation
  Scale scales income, purchase, payroll, and expenses to simulate the "Worst" and "Best" scenario.
• Opening Balance
  Adjust opening balances to improve accuracy on simulated cash effect from payments due from opening balance.

• Plan overview
  Plan overview and launch site for plan input modules.

Applies to: Planner 4.x

• Budget
  Plan input to Budget.
• Forecast
  Plan input to rolling Forecast.

Process and tasks

Here you find workbooks for setting up a work process and manage process tasks and ad-hoc tasks.

• Tasks
  Get an overview of your tasks, create and assign ad-hoc tasks and you manage tasks.
• Process and Schedule Manager
  Create and manage the work process.

• Version Manager
  Create and manage the work process.

Data management

Here you find workbooks for managing data such as exchange rates, dimension data, and transaction data.

• Source fact data
  Manage source fact data.
• Report Setup
  Create and manage finance reports.

• Dimensions
  Central management of dimensions with ability to publish dimensional content to versions.

Applies to: Planner 5.0 or 5.1

  Management dimensional content.

• Currency exchange rates and calendar
  Manage currency exchange rates.

Administration

Here you find workbooks for user access, system setup, and data process flow for operation.

• Operation Manager
  Manage data processing flows, schedule processing flows, and execute processing flows.
• Input Settings and Administration
  Setup distributed input for forecast and budget.

Applies to: Planner 5 or later

• Driver based modelling
  Setup the driver based model. This includes defining the calculation model.
• Driver based modelling
  Create a plan proposal for one or more measures of a given model. A plan proposal is a pre-filled starting point of the plan that the contributors can refine.
• Users and group management
  Create users, user groups and assign users to user groups. User groups are assigned permissions to solution content such as workbooks and data, for example a department.

  Manage users and access to workbooks and data.

• Sales forecast setup
  Setup the sales driver-based forecast. This includes defining the calculation model.
